Who must attend the Daily Scrum meeting?

The Daily Scrum is a highly focused meeting intended specifically for the Development Team. Its primary purpose is to allow team members to synchronize their activities, share progress, identify impediments, and plan for the upcoming day. This meeting is designed for the Development Team to reflect on their work, inspect progress toward the Sprint Goal, and adapt their plans accordingly.

While the Scrum Master may facilitate the meeting and ensure it adheres to the timebox and purpose, their attendance is not mandatory for the Development Team to participate effectively in the Daily Scrum. Similarly, while the Product Owner and stakeholders may have roles in the Scrum framework, their presence is not required during this meeting. The Daily Scrum's focus is on the Development Team's coordination, making it essential for only those team members to be present.
